Gerry Macdonald
Director, President and Promoter
With over 30 years experience in real estate sales and investment, Gerry Macdonald has, for years, been successfully operating Mortgage Investment Corporations (MICs). Most MICs managed by Gerry time and again produce high net returns.
Gerry holds a number of professional and industry designations:
- Licensed Broker since, 1975
- Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 1988, Gerry is among an exclusive group of approximately 9,000 professionals who hold the CCIM designation across North America and more than 30 countries.
Gerry worked at Terragreen Properties leasing and selling commercial property prior to joining Weber Real Estate in 1978. He incorporated affiliated company, CMS Real Estate Ltd., in 1983. Gerry currently specializes in development or re-development of commercial, industrial or residential sites.
Gerry Macdonald is also President and Director of: Crossroads-DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD II Mortgage Investment Corporation; and DMD III Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD IV Mortgage Investment Corporation; and DMD V Mortgage Investment Corporation.
Ben Flahr
Director, Vice-President
Ben Flahr has extensive experience in the mortgage industry. A retired mortgage broker with affiliate company CMS Real Estate, Ben is also a shareholder in Crossroads-DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation. Through CMS Real Estate, Ben has been selling oil field service companies and mortgage services since 1997. Prior to joining CMS Real Estate, Ben was with Canadian Business Brokers selling oil field service companies and in 1995, he was with T.I.W., selling oil field service company products. Between 1992 – 1993, Ben he was with Foxridge Homes in new home sales.
A Canadian citizen, Ben earned the following certificates from Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta:

- Time Management and Sales Seminar
- New Homes Development Systems Course
- Real Estate 1000
- Mortgage Brokers 1000.
Frederick A. Youck 
Director
Since 1993, Frederick has been the President and a Director of Winstar Corporation, a private Alberta company that has investments in public market securities, private operating companies in commercial and residential real estate, specialty foods, mortgages, leasing and supplies consulting, administrative and investment services where required.
Frederick Youck is also a joint venture partner with 360522 Alberta Ltd., a private Alberta corporation involved in commercial real estate projects in Calgary, as well as a Director of Sun Country Mortgage Investment Corp. since 2001.
James Devlin
Secretary-Treasurer and Director
As President of Devco Management Ltd., James has been involved in the ownership of Devco since 1992. Devco Management Ltd. is a company involved in the management of mortgage investment corporations.
James Devlin is also the Secretary/Treasurer and a shareholder of DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation, DMD II Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD III Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD IV Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD V Mortgage Investment Corporation; and Crossroads-DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation.
Lawrence T. Salloum, Q.C.
Director
Lawrence Salloum, Q.C., is a lawyer with Kelowna’ B.C.’s Benson Salloum Watts Law Offices, practicing in the areas of real estate, banking and corporate law. Lawrence is also past president of the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and a former director of the Canada Port Authority.
Lawrence obtained his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1953 and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1955 and called to the British Columbia Bar in 1966. In 1966, Lawrence was appointed Queen's Counsel in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Robert Dressler
Vice-President and Director
Robert resides in Coldstream, B.C. and owns and manages Pro-test Services Ltd., providing consulting and financial advice to numerous clients. Robert is presently a shareholder in affiliate company Crossroads-DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation and with his spouse, Marian Dressler, is also a director of affiliate company Crossroads-DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation.
Robert is also Vice-President and a Director and Shareholder of DMD Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD II Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD III Mortgage Investment Corporation; DMD IV Mortgage Investment Corp; DMD V Mortgage Investment Corp; and Sun Country Mortgage Investment Corp. These other mortgage investment corporations are active in the Calgary marketplace.
